Bangkok is a city with great food, friendly people and fantastic shopping malls. If there is one thing that any tourist will remember Bangkok for, it has to be the night markets. Bangkok’s night markets sell literally anything from food and clothing to gadgets. These night markets are certain to keep you coming back for more!

Here are 10 of the best night markets in Bangkok!

1) Rod Fai Market

Rod Fai Market probably needs no introduction; this renowned bazaar not only sells the usual fare of contemporary clothing and apparel, it also offers a wide variety of antiques and vintage tokens. With three massive sections – the “Market Zone”, “Warehouse Zone” and “Rod’s Antiques” – you can find almost anything at this night market! If bargaining for cheap goods and hunting down old relics isn’t enough for you, Rod Fai Market also boasts a great selection of street food, from fragrant barbecued meat to the classic Thai milk tea. With its huge spread of food and items, Rod Fai Market is the perfect market to keep going back to.

Opening Hours: 1700 – Midnight (Thursday – Sunday)
Location: Srinakarin Road Soi 51 (behind Seacon Square)
Getting There: Take the BTS to On Nut Station and take a taxi from there

2) JJ Green Market

If you prefer a more vibrant nightlife while keeping the appealing vintage market feel, try the JJ Green Market. Like the Rod Fai Market, this night market sells antiques as well as secondhand clothes, making it perfect for both the budget shopper and the vintage seeker. The best part of the JJ Green Market, however, is the wide selection of bars which open until after midnight on the weekends. You can end your shopping jaunt with a bottle of beer while listening to the live bands croon pop classics, or simply head there straight and soak in the rustic vintage atmosphere.

Opening Hours: 1700 – 0200 (Thursday – Sunday)
Location: 1 Kamphaeng Phet 3, Chatuchak
Getting There: Take the MRT to Chatuchak Station, or the BTS to Mo Chit Station

3) Asiatique The Riverfront

If you have not gone to Asiatique The Riverfront, you have basically not gone to Bangkok at all. This converted international trade port lies down the Chao Phraya River, and boasts over a whopping 1,500 stalls! Designed as a warehouse complex, the market is split into four sections, each specialising in a specific type of stall. For those looking for clothing and small handicrafts, head towards the Chareonkrung District. If you are looking for IT gadgets and modern fashion, try the Factory District instead! The Waterfront and Town Square Districts have high-end dining options and cheap bars respectively. As the only hybrid mall and night market in Bangkok, visiting Asiatique is a must.

Opening Hours: 1700 – Midnight
Location: Chareonkrung Soi 74-76
Getting there: Take the BTS to Saphan Taksin and get on the free shuttle boat at the nearby pier

4) Rod Fai Market Ratchada

Loving the Rod Fai Market in Srinakarin, but finding it too inconvenient to get to? Rest assured, there is another Rod Fai Market which is more accessible to visit! Situated in the Ratchada area of Bangkok, this Rod Fai Market retains the antique bazaar and street food stall vibes from the original market. While smaller than the one in Srinakarin, this market is situated nearer to the centre of the city, making it much easier for people to access. With its convenient location, excellent food and cheap prices, the Rod Fai Market Ratchada is definitely a place to keep returning to.

To top it off, there are live music performances every night! With such a festive atmosphere, Talad Neon is guaranteed to be the place you’ll keep returning to.
